About the Scholarship
The Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship Program is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by Tata Capital, designed to support meritorious students from economically weaker sections across India. The program aims to enable these students to pursue higher education, covering various levels from Class 11-12 to professional degree programs.
The selection process is merit-cum-need based, considering both academic excellence (with specific minimum mark requirements) and the financial background of the applicants. Higher marks may lead to higher scholarship amounts.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Must be enrolled in Class 11-12, General Graduation (UG), Professional Degree, Diploma, or ITI programs in any stream.
- Academic Performance:Minimum 60% marks required in the previous qualifying examination.
- For Professional Degree programs, a minimum of 80% marks is required.
- Financial Background: Annual family income from all sources must be less than or equal to ₹2.5 Lakh.
- Category: Applicable to students from all categories across India.
- Exclusions: Children of Tata Capital and Buddy4Study employees are not eligible.
Benefits
The Tata Capital Pankh Scholarship Program offers financial assistance to meritorious students:
- Scholarship Amount: Ranges from ₹10,000 to ₹1,00,000, based on academic performance and the course of study.
- Course-wise Breakdown:Class 11-12 students: ₹10,000 - ₹15,000
- General Undergraduate (UG) / Diploma students: ₹12,000 - ₹18,000
- Professional Degree programs: Up to ₹1,00,000
- Tuition Coverage: Covers up to 80% of tuition/course fees.
- Payment Method: The scholarship amount is provided as a one-time grant for the academic year and is transferred directly to the beneficiary's bank account.
- Renewal Policy: This is a one-time grant; applicants need to reapply annually.
