Eligibility Criteria
The following birth date range specifications apply for the purpose of determining eligibility for the Agniveer programs.
Agniveer applicants must be a citizen of India, or have a certain nationality in order to participate in the Agniveer programs. Note: this includes citizens of Nepal and Bhutan who meet other specific criteria.
Agniveer applicants must meet the specific educational qualifications listed below in order to qualify for the Agniveer program. In addition, other types of educational qualifications may be acceptable depending on other eligibility criteria as listed below.
Age Limit (as of 2026-03-01):
AVP II (Group Head) - 31 to 45 years.
AVP II (Territory Head) - 27 to 40 years.
Deputy Manager (Senior Relationship Manager) - 24 to 35 years.
Deputy Manager (Wealth Strategist) - 24 to 45 years.
Experience requirements vary for the Agniveer programs by position type.
AVP level positions (Wealth Management or Retail Banking) require between 6 to 10 years of work experience.
Deputy Manager level positions require a minimum of 3 years work experience in a Relationship Manager or Investment Counsellor related capacity.
Selection Process
Initial screening of applications based on eligibility, credentials, and experience is known as "shortlisting."
Online/Psychometric Test: If necessary, the bank may administer a test.
Personal Interview (PI): Those who made the short list will be asked to participate in an interview.
Document Verification: During the interview phase, original documents are verified.
Note: For General and Reserved categories, the minimum qualifying scores in PI are 60% and 55%, respectively.
